Meet the Founder!
Hello everyone! My name is Razan Kadri, and I am a Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Ottawa. Starting highschool in Ottawa a few years ago was a big change for me coming from Qatar. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to experience highschool fully in-person due to the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 has had an effect on my people’s lives and careers; especially healthcare workers like pharmacists! In 2020, I decided to take initiative, and work at a new Pharmacy and Clinic near my house. My deep passion in helping my community live a healthy life started here. As a Pharmacy Assistant, I worked tirelessly to ensure patients were healthy. I prepared vaccinations for pharmacists, and helped ease children’s anxiety when getting their shots.

I am not only passionate about helping patients in healthcare, but also helping high school and postsecondary students gain easy access to pharmacy school application tips. Applying to pharmacy school can be stressful, but my goal as the Founder and President of uOttawa Pre-Pharmacy Club is to ease the process for students who are applying.
When I started first year, I was looking to join a Pre-Pharmacy club at uOttawa, but did not find a Pre-Pharmacy club, so I decided to make a new one during the summer of my first year. Since then, uOttawa Pre-Pharmacy Club has grown exponentially. We have over 400 followers on our social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, Discord). I have also gotten the opportunity to meet and network with many pharmacists around Canada and internationally! I have hosted many events, such as the Casper Preparatory Workshop and uOttawa’s first PharmD Open House! I also collaborated with PharmD students, Paediatric Hospital Pharmacists, and International Graduate Pharmacists.
